Cuna Mutual

Accessibility consultation services for the
design of their new campus office building
Architectural Renderings of new Cuna Mutual campus building

CUNA reached out to Access to Independence to assist with their new building at their headquarter campus in Madison. Although CUNA was working with an architectural firm, they sought review of their blueprints and renderings to ensure their new building, and its spaces and elements, would be most-inclusive of all persons with disabilities – visitors and employees. Access to Independence provided its consultation services by reviewing the designs and renderings, and providing recommendations for CUNA and the designers, before final approval, and before construction began.

"Their approach ensured that our design was inclusive..."

"Access to Independence reviewed our new building plans at a point in design when we were able to make thoughtful changes they suggested that will help increase accessibility for all who use our space. Their approach ensured that our design was inclusive and made our team think differently about how we move through space.”
