Accessibility Evaluations

A truly accessible built environment ensures equal access to all who wish to use those environments. Whether it is an existing indoor or outdoor element, space, or building, or new designs or blueprints, an accessibility evaluation will be the guidance needed to go beyond basic ADA compliance.

Our consultation services will not only identify compliance issues, but will identify where best practices can be achieved for full access. After the evaluation, a detailed report will details identified issues, and provide guidance to address them.

Here's why it's important:
  1. Economic Benefits: By providing access to a wider range of individuals, businesses can increase their customer base and expand their market reach. In addition, accessible buildings can increase property values and make buildings more attractive to potential tenants.
  2. Safety/Liability: Accessibility is crucial for safety reasons. Buildings that are not accessible can be hazardous for people with disabilities. Making buildings accessible can help prevent accidents and injuries.
  3. Social Responsibility: Everyone should have equal access to public spaces and buildings, and failure to provide this access can lead to social exclusion and limit opportunities for people with disabilities, leading to a lower quality of life.
  4. Beyond Compliance: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) require that buildings be designed and constructed in a way that accommodates the needs of people with disabilities. The ADA is a set of minimum standards. Inclusion isn’t reached by achieving minimum standards, so it should never be the goal.
