Good accessibility is good business!

More people with disabilities are living in the community than ever before, and populations are growing older every day. Tackle accessibility and inclusion barriers to gain more customers, clients, employees and patrons, and avoid facing legal repercussions.

Here are some reasons why accessibility matters:
  1. Increased Customer Base: Accessibility can help businesses reach a broader audience, including people with disabilities, who make up a significant portion of the population. By making physical and digital spaces accessible, businesses can attract and retain these customers, leading to increased revenue and growth.
  2. Improved User Experience: Accessibility can enhance the user experience for everyone, not just people with disabilities. For example, captions on videos make them easier to understand, even for people who are not fluent in the language or have hearing impairments. This can result in increased user engagement and satisfaction.
  3. Competitive Advantage: Businesses that prioritize accessibility can gain a competitive advantage over their competitors who do not. Accessible spaces is a sign of a business's commitment to inclusion and diversity, which can attract customers and employees who value those principles.
  4. Brand Reputation: Accessibility is a crucial aspect of corporate social responsibility, and businesses that prioritize it can enhance their brand reputation. Consumers and investors increasingly expect businesses to prioritize accessibility and inclusion, and failure to do so can result in reputational damage.
  5. Legal Requirements: Laws and regulations require businesses to ensure that their content and spaces are accessible to people with disabilities. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in legal action, fines, and reputational damage.
