Artists Beyond Boundaries Fundraiser

Celebrating artists with disabilities

Artists Beyond Boundaries is an art event and fundraiser hosted by Access to Independence. Now in its 8th year, this unique fundraising event is designed to celebrate the talents of artists with disabilities living across the state of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin artists with disabilities of any age and any skill level are invited to submit two works of art for a chance to win $250 and have their artwork featured in the 2025 Artists Beyond Boundaries gallery.

Entry Requirements

  • Entry is FREE, and open to any individual with a disability

  • Two entries per person

  • We will accept as many entries as space allows on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Prizes

  • 5 - $250 awards as decided by jurors

  • 2 - $100 Blick Art Gift Cards, chosen as People's Choice Awards

Important Information

Delivery

Entries must be dropped off between June 1st and September 30th 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, or shipped to arrive no earlier than September 30th, at Access to Independence 3810 Milwaukee Street, Madison Wisconsin along with attached entry form. Please label any shipments to the attention of "Artists Beyond Boundaries."

Prepaid postage must be included if you want return shipping.

Pickup After the Event

Entries MUST be picked up after the conclusion of the event on October 16th, or from the Access to Independence office between October 17-October 31st during regular business hours. 

Selling Artwork

Artists may list a price on their artwork if interested in Access to Independence facilitating the sale of their work at the event. Artists receive full asking price, and Access to Independence charges the buyer a 12% buyer's fee.

Access to Independence is Funded By

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Access to Independence is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Access to Independence is currently working with an independent website auditor to ensure we become fully WCAG 2.1 level AA compliant.
