Nathan's Story

Board Member
Nathan is a lifelong disability rights advocate with expertise in public policy, resource development, and public relations. Originally from Sun Prairie, he earned his B.A. in political science from UW-Eau Claire. His background includes conducting legislative research for Senator Schumer, briefing federal officials on IDEA and WIOA, and researching disability policy as a McNair scholar. He is currently a loaned executive with United Way of Dane County where he specializes in resource development.

Nathan and his three siblings live with the same muscular and connective tissue disability. He believes that every person with a disability has a right to the supports, services, and legal protections needed to live with maximum freedom and dignity. Nathan will continue to advocate for more affordable long-term services and supports, increased opportunities for competitive integrated employment, and expanded options for accessible housing and transportation.

In his spare time, he likes to play old video games, take his dog Buddy on walks, and play jazz music on his saxophone.
