What they do: The Health and
Human Services Director and Health and Human Services Board, with the addition
of three non-County Board members as required by Section 25l.03, Wis. Stats.,
shall establish policies and supervise the implementation of these policies as
detailed in Section 25l.04, Wis. Stats.

info: The chair
and vice chair of the Health and Human Services Board shall be members of the County Board.
The Commission on Aging shall be an
advisory sub-committee to the Health and Human Services Board and shall consist
of two County Board members and three lay members. One
of the County Board members
on the Commission on Aging shall be chair and be appointed as a member of the
Health and Human Services Board.

What
they do:This
committee shall have jurisdiction over the Human Resources Department and all
matters pertaining to employment to assure compliance with State and Federal
labor directives; such as, wages, conditions of employment, fringe benefits,
and other related matters; and shall assure compliance with Chapter 7 of the
Code of Ordinances. The committee shall
have jurisdiction over the countywide Safety Committee and its budget. This
committee shall oversee the implementation and periodic review of the County's
Affirmative Action Plan, Civil Rights, and Americans with Disabilities Act. This
committee shall create policies to provide health insurance coverage and a
worker’s compensation program for County employees.
This committee shall review,
coordinate and analyze workers compensation claims and ensure claim information
is made available to committee chairs for department head review.
