Even though contractors have been required to hire individuals with disabilities for decades, the actual numbers of people with disabilities working for federal contractors has not increased. Reformulating the requirements could mean that an increased number of people with disabilities will have the opportunity to obtain federal contract work. This is your chance to make a difference.
NCIL urges you to provide feedback to the OFCCP that highlights the pervasive discrimination in the federal contractor sector and supports strengthened affirmative action requirements that increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We must demand that the OFCCP require individuals with disabilities to be hired at the same percentage we are represented in the general population.
